CFUW North Vancouver Interest Groups provide opportunities for members to meet, pursue common interests and build community.

Art Hop
Art walks in the Lower Mainland explore new art shows, established galleries, art studios and find artistic surprises.  Members take turns organizing times and places. Includes coffee or lunch.

Book Discussion
This book club meets the last Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM at the Lynn Valley Public Library. Members bring an item for a potluck lunch.

Bridge
Meets at 1 PM on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in homes of members. Lovely food, fabulous friends and satisfying Chicago style bridge.   A Loonie per meeting provides prizes.  Spares are welcome.

Community Action
An Ad-Hoc group formed at the request of the Executive Committee to work on social justice and women’s and children’s rights issues, often but not always, reaching out to the greater community in some manner: as determined the by the North Vancouver club.

Mah Jong
Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month from noon to 3:00 pm. 

Meander & Munch: Exploring  the Lower Mainland 
Seek the unique community and regional projects and sites.  Lunch begins or follows the event.  Leadership for each event comes from the group.  Meets as planned 4-5 times a year. 

Pitch and Putt
Novices welcome. Meet Monday mornings beginning in the spring when the weather turns nice at Ambleside Park. Weather dependent.

Tea and Trumpets
For those with a love of music. Members buy group tickets to this Thursday afternoon VSO series.

Walking Group
Meets at about 10 am for a 1 – 1.5 hour walk at various locations in North and West Vancouver. Schedule emailed monthly to members.

CFUW North Vancouver and CFUW West Vancouver also participate together in

Shared Interest Groups.

CFUW North Vancouver and CFUW West Vancouver are independent of each other but work together in the following interest groups.

Issues & Advocacy Group
Issues and Advocacy is designed to keep abreast of issues at the local,provincial (BC Council) National (CFUW) and International levels (Graduate Women International) and can  inform both clubs of advocacy deemed necessary within the goals and policies of CFUW.  At the request of one or both( North Vancouver/West Vancouver CFUW) members of this group  may volunteer to  take the lead in organization of public forums to encourage  discussion and action on the part of attendees. The Group meets the 3rd Friday of each Month September to June.

International Studies Group
CFUW, as a whole, has UN and GWI links. Members explore international issues affecting women. Meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM.

Contemplation and Creativity – Life Writing
A new group which will meet six times during the year for members to experiment with, learn and share their artistic and literary interests. Time to be determined.

Technology/Web Group
Members meet to exchange information about technology. Discussion topics include computers, the Internet, various new digital hardware, and our website. Meets bi-monthly on 1st Tuesdays at 7:15 pm.

Interest and Study Groups are open to all paid up club members.
